Cactus is a Mexican restaurant that serves tequila and other fine drinks, although we are best known locally for our wood-fired pizzas and signature chilli poppers.

The Mexican boarder

Burrito

Plump tortilla (flour pancake) covered with grated cheddar cheese and filled with your choice of marinated beef strips or tangy chicken or cajun calamari or spicy veggies. Served with Mexican rice or chips or salad.

Baked Enchilada

Similar to a burrito but we bake them in the pizza oven which heats up the tortilla and melts the cheddar cheese. Served with guacamole, sour cream and a choice of Mexican rice, chips or salad. Choose your filling from either beef or tender chicken or spicy veggies.

Fajitas

We combine either marinated beef or spicy chicken with a tangy sauce and serve it in a hot cast iron pan. On the side we give you three plain tortillas with portions of salsa, guacamole, sour cream, grated cheddar cheese and spicy rice. Then its up to you to make up your own tortilla filled parcels.

Tacos

Build your own combination of four tacos with a generous portion of spicy mince sauce. Served with shredded lettuce, tomato salsa, refried beans, guacamole, sour cream and grated cheddar cheese on the side.

Chimichungas

These take a little time to make but are a popular Mexican pie (vaguely similar to a south african vetkoek). Served with chips or rice or salad and filled with your choice of: chicken chilli mayo or spicy beef or stir-fry veggies

Baked Mexican Mushrooms

Large brown Mushrooms filled with a choice of spinach & feta or bacon & avo then topped with mozzarella and baked in the pizza oven.

Quesadillas

Toasted tortilla sandwiches - spinach & feta or ham & cheddar or chicken mayo. Served with chips or salad

Spicy Chicken Livers

Baked in the pizza oven and served with a herb pita.

From the grill

Half Rump steak

Lean, tender, 200g rump steak, basted and flame grilled. Served with Cactus Chips or a fresh green salad.

Full Rump Steak

300g of succulent rump – basted and flame grilled the Mexican way. Served with Cactus Chips and veggies.

Aguila Burger

Slightly spicy Chicken Breast, sweet chilli-onion-jalapeno salsa, topped with cheddar cheese. Served with Cactus Chips.

Fiesta Burger

Pure beef patty, topped with guacamole, bacon, salsa, sour cream and mozzarella. Served with Cactus Chips.

Chicken Schnitzel

Tender chicken breast carefully spiced and crumbed, served with Cactus Chips and veggies.

Beef Lasagne

Slow cooked, topped with mozzarella and served straight from the pizza oven with a herb + garlic pita.
